Project Director – Coalition for Action on Toxics

Are you an experienced collaboration builder with fundraising experience who is self-driven and works well independently? Are you passionate about the environment and a just Canadian society? Are you committed to strengthening legislation to reduce exposure to harmful toxics that affects Canadians and the environment? Do you enjoy coordinating others to achieve results? If so, this position is for you. The Coalition for Action on Toxics (CAT), a project on MakeWay’s shared platform, is an NGO-funder collaborative established in 2016 to address the need for better toxics legislation and policies in Canada. The project was originally conceived as a three-year project that would bring together environmental and health focused organizations and funders that share a passion for reducing exposure to harmful toxics to share resources and launch a collective campaign. The collaboration is now entering a new phase to make further progress on legislative changes and engage the health community and is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Project Director.

Project Director – Northern Youth Leadership

Northern Youth Leadership (NYL) is a project on MakeWay Charitable Society’s shared platform. NYL brings together youth from across the NWT and the Canadian Arctic for remote land-based programming to develop leadership skills, life skills, emotional resilience, and to engage in positive risk-taking. NYL is seeking a qualified and energetic self-starter to provide strategic and operational leadership as Project Director. The Project Director is responsible for all aspects of planning, implementing and evaluating NYL’s remote wilderness programming.

Project Specialist

We are seeking a new team member to join our Shared Platform team to provide front-line operational support to a portfolio of projects on the Shared Platform. You will be the face and voice of the Shared Platform, acting as the main point of contact for your projects. As our Project Specialist you will have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise towards building relationships with your projects and helping them grow. You will enjoy variety in your role as you support the team and work collaboratively with your peer support teams so that everything can be run as smoothly as possible.
