Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW)

Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW) is an award-winning initiative that explores ways of communicating our need to adapt to the rapidly increasing risks and hazards of extreme weather. CREW is a grassroots, volunteer driven project.

CREW uses a “neighbours helping neighbours” approach. It inspires and supports community-led multi-generational, multi-stakeholder networking that increases awareness of local climate change impacts and promotes local resiliencies, especially for the more vulnerable. These networks may be hyper-local or extend city wide.

CREW uses its Resilientville Canada Asset Mapping and Role Playing tools with neighbourhood groups, classrooms, municipalities, faith based organizations and other important stakeholders.
