The Northern Manitoba Food, Culture, and Community Collaborative was created to help Northern Manitoba communities design local solution-oriented projects that address regional issues of poverty, food insecurity, and related health issues.
Over the last couple of years, the collaborative has supported amazing projects in Peguis First Nation, Opaskwayak First Nation, Sherridon Cold Lake, Leaf Rapids, and O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation.
Na-tas-kek (meaning “reconnecting with mother earth”) captures of stories of some of the people who have been part of the projects and how central the work has been to the health and well-being of these communities.
