Is 2016 the climate change tipping point? Tides Canada and Toronto Star climate and economy series wraps up

As announced in September, Tides Canada has been partnering with The Toronto Star to produce a series of articles covering key climate issues in Canada leading up to and following the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris in December 2015. The series is now complete.

“Climate change is one of the most important issues we face today,” said Ross McMillan, President and CEO, Tides Canada. “The Toronto Star series was successful in exploring many facets of climate change in Canada and the implications it has for our economy, communities, and environment. We hope the series has encouraged a continuing dialogue around these issues.”

Written by Tyler Hamilton, an experienced journalist and former editor in chief for clean capitalism magazine Corporate Knights, the series covered a variety of topics—from an in-depth look at the conference to climate change ramifications for the Canadian economy and real estate market. Access all the articles here.

The series’ final article, “Why 2016 could be the year of green energy,” looks at what Canadians may expect for the coming year.
