UNINTERRUPTED is back! Outdoor installation celebrates the beauty and struggle of wild salmon

This summer the art experience that will have everyone talking is all about salmon.

UNINTERRUPTED, the outdoor cinematic spectacle that lit up Vancouver’s Cambie Bridge in the summer of 2017, is back and on the move. Through MakeWay’s Pacific Salmon Watershed Fund, we are once again proud to support this nuanced environmental message showcased through public art.

The film maps the beauty and struggle of a Pacific salmon migration in a unique 30-minute visual and sound experience. With visual poetry, it inspires audiences to reflect on the intersection of urban life and nature, and remark at how salmon are at the heart of the Pacific ecosystem in so many ways.

Because the world is much different in 2021, this time the experience is in Virtual Reality, with synchronized outdoor events for small audiences. The show launches on July 7 outside the Museum of Vancouver and will also be shown in North Vancouver and Burnaby throughout the summer.
