Canadian Biotechnology Action Network

The Canadian Biotechnology Action Network (CBAN) researches and responds to the impacts of genetic engineering (also called genetic modification or GM) in food and farming.

CBAN aims to promote food sovereignty and democratic decision-making on science and technology issues to protect the integrity of the environment, health, food, and the livelihoods of people in Canada and around the world. We research and monitor the issue and we facilitate, inform, and organize civil society action. CBAN includes farmer associations, regional coalitions of grassroots groups, and environmental, international development, and social justice organizations in Canada. We also work with organizations around the world.
