The East Scarborough Storefront uses the power of collaboration to support people and build community in the inner suburban neighbourhood of Kingston Galloway/Orton Park (KGO). We believe that community matters, and that it takes collective responses to address complex community-based and social issues.

We help a network of residents, social service organizations, academic institutions, businesses, and architects lead and participate in a wide range of activities effectively and collectively. Through the Storefront, residents have access to 35 social services through our service delivery hub, are connected with local employment and economic opportunities, and supported in engaging in civic action. We also support businesses tackling issues of economic viability.

The Storefront has won numerous awards for its innovative and ground-breaking approach to community development and is recognized as a leader in grassroots neighbourhood transformation.
