The way we make and consume our stuff is unsustainable. Our things break, go out of style or are disposed of too quickly, which places a burden on our climate, limited resources and people everywhere.
The mission of the Share Reuse Repair Initiative is to bring community, business, and government together to foster a vibrant sharing, reuse and repair sector that makes the most of things. Through mobilizing key actors, prototyping promising solutions, conducting and mobilizing applied research, and engaging the public we aim to shift consumption norms and behaviours, foster bolder policy and create more sharing, reuse and repair opportunities.
Extending the life of things is not only a meaningful climate and waste solution, but it enables people to live well within household budgets and supports more resilient local economies with decent jobs.
