Advancing transformation at the intersection of social justice, economic, cultural, and ecological wellbeing

MakeWay takes risks and tries new things, trailblazes where others in the sector won’t. Yet, we’re also trusted for our expertise in charitable compliance, administration, governance, and management.

As an intermediary, we create healthy pathways between philanthropy and community partners.

Our Approach:

  • Build deep trust-based relationships in communities, including remote, Northern, and Indigenous communities, and urban neighbourhoods.
  • Support changemakers and communities with flexible grants and innovative operational supports.
  • Provide funders with diverse supports and opportunities to learn and transform while advancing truth and reconciliation and justice.
  • Build momentum for change by facilitating shared learning and connections across strong partner networks from coast to coast to coast.
  • Champion ways to shift systems of philanthropy and charity by pushing towards more equity, accessibility, and transparency in these sectors.
