Ferbey is President of the Yukon Development Corporation with the Government of Yukon. Born and raised in the Yukon, he is a citizen of the Carcross Tagish First Nation and is the first northerner to join Tides Canada’s board.

“Justin’s entrepreneurial and business acumen is an asset to Tides Canada’s Board of Directors and our work to steer the organization forward on a path of sustainability and smart governance,” said Jodi White, Chair of the Board.

“I’m excited to be joining Tides Canada as it expands its programmatic focus in the North,” said Ferbey. “I’m looking forward to building on the solid and thoughtful work that Tides Canada has already undertaken to effect positive and durable economic, social, and environmental change in this dynamic region.”

As former Chief Executive Officer of Carcross Tagish Management Corporation, Justin Ferbey’s vision and leadership helped create sustainable jobs and opportunities for his community to reinvest in social, health, recreational, and educational services. I am thrilled to have such a reputable leader join our board.”

Ferbey is a federal appointee to the Joint Public Advisory Committee of the North American Agreement for Environmental Cooperation, and the president of Skookum Jim’s Friendship Centre.
