Learn how Indigenous communities in Canada are addressing UN SDG, Zero Hunger

Join the Northern Manitoba Food, Culture, and Community Collaborative (NMFCCC) Webinar with UofT Lecturer and UN Presenter, Jennifer Sumner

Thursday, November 14, 2019
2:00 PM EST / 1:00 PM CST / 11:00 AM PST

Presented by the NMFCCC and Tides Canada

How are Indigenous communities building sustainable food solutions in Canada? This is what University of Toronto Lecturer Jennifer Sumner sought to explore in a paper presented at the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy earlier this year.

On November 14, 2019, we invite you to a webinar hosted by Tides Canada and the NMFCCC. Using NMFCCC as a case study, Jennifer Sumner will discuss how Canadian Indigenous communities are addressing the second UN Sustainable Development Goal: zero hunger.

This one-hour webinar will include knowledge sharing, insights, and engagement with Collaborative members and Northern Manitoba Advisors. Learn about NMFCCC’s approach to standing with communities as they rebuild strong local food systems. Additionally, learn how their theory of change is rooted in a circular worldview to create continuous growth, learning, and mutual transformation through Indigenous and community-led solutions.

We look forward to your attendance.
